About bahina

bahina Sàrl was created in 2007 by the two Swiss sisters, Annick und Noëlle Jordi. The name bahina is Hindi and means „sisters“. Because Annick could never find jewelry that she really loved, she decided to launch her own collection together with her younger sister, Noëlle. As a trained gemologist, Noëlle, brought her specialty knowledge of precious stones and her vast experience in the field of jewelry and diamond trading. Annick studied design in Paris and graduated with a BS in marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T) in New York and has a master’s degree in political science from the University of Geneva. She is the brand’s creative director.
During her numerous trips around the world, Annick is looking for the most exquisite and colorful gems and new materials and then has them set into 18K-gold valuables according to her unique designs.

In 2011, five years after the successful launch of bahina jewels, Annick introduced her own Pashmina line, bahina joy. The inspiration came from her friends falling in love with the colorful scarves she brought back from her trips to India.
In 2022 Noëlle decided to leave the company in order to pursue her own dreams. Thanks to a very loyal customer base, a passion for jewelry and fabric design and long established connections in the jewelry industry, Annick is committed to continuing this adventure on her own and looks forward to building the bahina brand. Today bahina stands for “sisterhood”, may it be blood sisters, soul sisters or just amazing women supporting and empowering each other.
